1. Split the topic up clearly into sections, each with sub-headings. This will make each section easier to find.
2. Underline important and descriptive words for future reference.
3. Make sure you have a clear title, so when it comes to revising you can easily find which topic you’re reading about.
4. Keep notes short and sweet so you don’t keep writing a load of rubbish that is no use to you, or anyone else for that matter.
5. Add the date so you can find exactly when this work was written, and know what work you did on that day.
6. Add the date of important events.
7. Use numbers or bullet points to split up different reasons or examples.
8. Writing in P R I N T is easier to read.
9. Put key words in CAPITALS
10. Use as much space as you need, rather than squashing everything together so that it can’t be read.
